Shri Arunkumar S, a post-graduate in Structural Engineering is basically a Standards Engineer with over 18 years of experience in the field of National Standardization in various Civil Engineering areas such as earthquake engineering, structural safety, special structures, construction practices, cement & concrete, other building materials. He was the Joint Member Secretary of the national technical committee that revised NBC in 2016. Currently, he is the Head of the National Building Code Unit of the Civil Engineering Department of BIS and is engaged in the Revision of the National Building Code of India as its Member Secretary.
